Day 04: Sail to Kasr Ibrim on the Lake Cruise
Start the day with an early sail to Kasr Ibrim, where you can view the historic citadel from the sundeck. Once a formidable city above the Nile, it now appears as an island due to the Aswan High Dam. Continue to Abu Simbel to visit its iconic temples, carved by Pharaoh Ramesses II. These temples were relocated in the 1960s to avoid flooding from the new Aswan High Dam, now standing 64 meters above and 180 meters west of their original location.
