16-Day Luxury Egypt and Morocco Tours 2026 — Fairmont Cairo, 5-Star Nile Cruise & Boutique Riads
Overview
The 16-Day Luxury Egypt and Morocco Tour is Egypt For Travel’s most premium two-country itinerary — the only version that stays four nights in Cairo, includes a dedicated day for Old Cairo’s Saladin Citadel and Coptic churches, sails exclusively on a 5-star superior Nile cruise, and books Morocco accommodation at boutique riad level rather than standard hotels. The distinction isn’t the itinerary — you see the same combination of the Pyramids, the Grand Egyptian Museum, the Valley of the Kings, Karnak, Casablanca, Rabat, Volubilis, Fez, and Marrakech as on the 14-day version. The distinction is what you sleep in, what you eat, and how much time you have.
Four nights in Cairo versus three on every other program means a full second day in the city — Day 3 covers the Saladin Citadel and the Muhammad Ali Alabaster Mosque, Coptic Cairo’s Hanging Church, and the Ben Ezra Synagogue, a layer of Cairo that every shorter program skips. The Fairmont Nile City in Cairo is consistently ranked among the finest hotels in Africa. The MS Nile Premium is a 5-star superior cruise ship rather than the Radamis II or standard-grade vessels used on shorter programs. In Morocco, boutique riads in Fez replace standard city hotels. Egypt For Travel operates this tour fully privately throughout both countries, under ETA Licence Category A No. 1947.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does the Luxury version sail Luxor to Aswan instead of Aswan to Luxor?
The 14-day and shorter Egypt-Morocco programs fly Cairo to Aswan and sail north (Aswan to Luxor), ending in Luxor before flying back. The 16-day Luxury itinerary flies directly to Luxor on Day 4 and sails south (Luxor to Aswan), ending in Aswan with a flight back to Cairo. Southbound sailing means you arrive at each site from upstream rather than downstream — a minor but real difference in the experience of the cruise — and it allows Day 3 in Cairo to be used for Old Cairo before departure, which the northbound programs don’t have room for.
Is the Fairmont Nile City significantly better than standard Cairo hotels?
Yes — in our assessment, meaningfully so for a luxury itinerary. The Fairmont Nile City sits directly on the Nile in Zamalek, with Nile-view rooms and suites, two pools, multiple restaurants, and a spa. It’s the hotel we recommend to travelers for whom the quality of sleep and the view from the room is as important as the quality of the sites. The standard Cairo hotels on the shorter programs are solid 4–5 star properties; the Fairmont is a different tier entirely.
What Nile cruise ship is used?
The MS Nile Premium — a 5-star superior vessel. The tour operates on a shared excursion basis during the Nile cruise portion (your Egyptologist guide joins all excursions; the cruise itself operates as a group aboard the ship), while all Cairo and Morocco touring is fully private.
Do I need visas for Egypt and Morocco?
Egypt: $25 e-visa or on arrival. Morocco: most Western nationalities enter visa-free for stays up to 90 days. See our Egypt Visa Guide 2026 for your specific nationality.

Prices Policy
All prices for the 16-Day Luxury Egypt and Morocco Tours are quoted per person in US dollars, based on room occupancy (triple, double, or single) as shown in the Prices tab. Euro and GBP pricing available on request. May–September rates are the lowest; October–April high-season rates reflect peak demand for Fairmont Nile City rooms, MS Nile Premium cabins, and boutique riads in Fez and Marrakech. Christmas, New Year, and Easter carry additional surcharges, and availability for the Fairmont and top Morocco riads during those periods requires booking 3–4 months in advance. Your rate is locked from the moment of deposit receipt. All listed entrance fees across both countries are included — no hidden admission charges are added after booking. The complimentary Cairo photo session is included and delivered digitally after the tour.
Tips for Departure
On Day 16, avoid booking outgoing international flights before 3:00 PM from Casablanca Mohamed V Airport. For Cairo: closed-toe walking shoes essential for the Giza Plateau, Saladin Citadel steps, and Coptic Cairo’s narrow passages. The Fairmont Nile City concierge can arrange early-morning Pyramids visits before crowds — request this at check-in. For the Nile cruise: the MS Nile Premium has a pool and sun deck — pack light cruise wear alongside smarter clothing for the gala dinner. For Fez: the certified riad porter will guide you to your door through the medina; bring your own small luggage tag in a distinctive color so it’s easily identifiable. For Marrakech: the souk shopping day (Day 14) is best done in the morning before afternoon heat — arrange this with your guide.
Children Policy
Infants up to 2 years: free, sharing parents’ room. Children under 6: 25% of adult rate. Children under 12: 50% of adult rate. Children 12+: full adult rate. Maximum one discounted child per room. The Fairmont Nile City has family-friendly facilities. The MS Nile Premium cruise is suitable for children of all ages. The Day 14 leisure day in Marrakech is ideal for families with older children who enjoy the souk experience.
Payment Policy
50% deposit required to confirm the 16-Day Luxury Egypt and Morocco Tours (higher than standard programs due to Fairmont advance-booking requirements and riad pre-payment). Balance due one week before arrival, payable by bank transfer, Visa, Mastercard, or cash on arrival. Your rate is locked from deposit payment.
Installment Policy
Installment plans available over 6, 9, or 12 months. Balance must be settled before arrival; any outstanding amount payable on arrival by cash or card. Contact our team via WhatsApp (+20 155 555 2466) to set up a plan at booking.
Tipping
As a practical guide for this 16-day luxury tour: Egypt Egyptologist guide $10–15 per person per day (reflecting the extended Cairo program and premium experience); Egypt private driver $5–7 per day; MS Nile Premium housekeeping and restaurant staff $5–7 per person per day (pooled into a crew envelope on the final cruise night); Philae motorboat crew $3–4 per person; Morocco local expert guides $8–12 per person per day; Morocco driver $5–7 per day; Fez certified medina guide $8–10 per person; Marrakech horse-drawn carriage driver $5 per ride; riad porter in Fez $2–3 per bag. Fairmont Nile City bellhop and room service tipping follows standard hotel convention ($2–5 per service). These are guidance figures, never mandatory.
Cancellation Policy
Given the Fairmont Nile City and boutique riad pre-bookings on this itinerary, cancellation terms for the Luxury program are slightly stricter: 61+ days before arrival, 15% of total price; 31–60 days, 25%; 15–30 days, 50%; 1–14 days or no-show, 100%. Egyptian domestic flight tickets are additionally subject to airline cancellation terms. Travel insurance strongly recommended for a 16-day luxury itinerary of this value.
Emergency Cancellation Policy
If a formal government travel advisory or airline cancellation occurs due to unforeseen emergency circumstances, Egypt For Travel applies a flexible policy: full credit valid for 12 months, or refund less non-recoverable hotel pre-payment deposits, airline fees, and bank charges. Egypt For Travel’s own cancellation fees are waived under confirmed emergency advisories. Contact us immediately via WhatsApp (+20 155 555 2466) if affected.
